What does 'traditional' mean to you, where flower shops are concerned?
The term 'traditional' is now used by many to mean florists who purchase their flowers with little to no regard for what is 'in season', from farms in Ecuador and Columbia. They use 'traditional' when speaking about Florists who use lots of non recyclable packaging, non biodegradable flower foam, and spray leaf shine on their plants.
However, traditional florists, like one of the first owners of Revelstoke Florist, Wolfgang, used to actually GROW THEIR OWN FLOWERS and propagate their own plants! We are reviving that tradition, and going back to our roots! Florists used to be flower experts, from seed to vase. From sprout to event. From bud to bloom.
